The Foster Village Community Association (FVCA) and the East Foster Village Community Association (EFVCA) have separate annual membership meetings (dates vary, residents will be notified via regular mail); their board members meet more often. EFVCA has an e-mailing list for members and periodically publishes a newsletter; FVCA does not.
Neighborhood Security Watch
The Foster Village Neighborhood Security Watch (NSW) meets with HPD Community Police officers at 7:00pm on the 1st Thursday of each month, at the Oahu Veterans Center. Meetings are not recorded, but information from the meetings -- and crime alerts -- are sent to residents who provide their e-mail addresses.
Foster Village Newsletter
The Foster Village Flyer newsletter, published by Rodney Kawamoto, is distributed to all Foster Village homes every two months. Rodney is always looking for more volunteers to help distribute the Flyer. On-line copies are currently not available.
Other Foster Village Web Sites
The Foster Village Community Association (FVCA) currently does not have a Web site. Instead, see the Oahu Veterans Center (OVC) web site. The OVC provides meeting and recreational facilities to residents (as well as veteran organizations) on Foster Village Community Association land (at the entrance to Foster Village).
The East Foster Village Community Association (EFVCA), located at the east (mauka) end of Foster Village provides a meeting hall and pool to residents.
The www.fostervillage.net web site has information about the history of Foster Village and some older community issues,
Elsewhere on this Web site, the Neighborhood Security Watch has a series of articles about Crime in our community.
